I think everyone can se that you are not trying to "explain" anything - simply using that language (especially, but not restricted to referring to your interlocutor as a "nice kid") to belittle or intimidate another poster. The other poster, like several others, e.g.
@McQuade, were understandably reacting to your apparent self-aggrandising profession of wealth .... people simply don't react well to that sort of thing.
Generally speaking, I don't think many really want to hear about dollar values of specific trades, or groups of trades by another poster. They want to hear about others' thoughts on prospects or future developments of the company, and future directions or trends in the segment. There are some dreadful threads around HC where some posters appear to be actively looking for someone to lambaste or ridicule, and others where a visitor cannot afford to make a negative observation, and needs to wear protective eyewear to avoid having an eye poked out by the constant backslapping of the self-congratulatory mob.
