Macpac should recover a bit as international travel picks up as a lot of their gear is aimed towards hikers and adventure type travel which Australians haven't been doing much of the last 2 years. But Macpac wasn't really impressing even before Covid on its LFL sales so the problem clearly runs deeper than that. I think its fundamental issue is that it's a different sort of outlet from the "big store" type that SUL specialises in. It's more of a smaller boutique type store.
Macpac's gear is good, I generally prefer it over Kathmandu or Mountain Designs, but I feel like perhaps SUL isn't the natural owner of it.
