1. If you understand law - Russia is doing everything under international law and under procedure and protocols that have been established over 100s of years of diplomacy. USA does not do that often - eg Iraq war was illegal and was the assassination of Gaddifi and the mess in Libya and The assassination of the Iranian general and other Iran top staff and officials - THIS IS ALL ILLEGAL but USA gets away with it or isreal gets away with it cause no one is their to hold them to account other than a few statements at the UN council - but if you breach international law NOW against Russia and China - they are more then strong enough to create far more then a ruckus.

2. THE people in the region of Donbass etc (however it is spelled) have held referendum and are independent - They dont want to belong to Ukraine - so it is no longer Ukraine land unless you deny their power of self determination (its a very complex issue as demonstrated via the minsk treaty) - both sides have breached or not lived up to particular aspects of the minsk treaty (try to be fair) and Ukraine was the first to breach - this is all recorded facts. It can be found if you do the research.

3. Donbass is independent autonomous region - Ukraine cannot enter it without their permission - RUSSIA can cause they have permission of the ppl

Agree this has gone on far more than it needed and its all crap
