Superjacent,
I know how you feel, I bought into Bio Fuel a few years ago and couldn’t see the forest for the trees. It tanked (along with the industry) and along with a lot of other investors lost out. The company (MST) looks like it has tanked as well. This is for good reason however.
Further to this I think you overestimate the government and their belief in this company.
The ADF does not use any metal storm products, all products (small arms) used by the ADF are off the shelf products that strangely are not Aust designs. Further to this the ADF's non lethal force weapons are not Aust designed either.
If the Canadian Dept of Def has purchased three shotguns for R&D then this reads to me (field testing and not much money at all) and since they bought only three I don't think they would care less if MST collapsed. If anything they will just reverse engineer them and manufacture them themselves. Even if they couldn't manufacture themselves then blowing $10 or $20k on a few weapons is nothing.
Even then an under barrel shotgun isn't that impressive and is only used in certain applications (not high circulation like an assault rifle). Further to this there are already underslung launchers and shotguns available.
I would like to know what happens with copy write and IP if a company collapses, does any one know?
I am not trying to down ramp at all, I do not hold stock I just wish to contribute to intellectual discourse.
Further I hope MY OPINION is wrong for your sake.
