Why would the trajectory in Australia be any different?
Yes, it will spread via schools. Recently one of my granddaughters caught COVID at a school camp at Bundanon art museum. I don't know abuut any hugging. Mild symptoms, but everyone in the household has to isolate. One parent can't work from home, the other is an essential worker (police). The other two grandchildren back onto home schooling.
