No arguing about the ETS in principle at all. I want one....just timing of regarding its implementation...after the US/China agree in particular.


...and btw ETS is 100% a tax if the world doesnt simultaneously implement. Australian Companies would be disadvantaged paying for carbon until other companies pay too. That could be years.

ETS works basically like a tariff against our own companies until the world implements.

I want to save the dolphins but when the US and China make up their minds...as they produce 50% of the worlds carbon. With 21m people we are a drop in the ocean pollution wise therefore the ETS would be massively disproportionate against us until the bigger polluters implement thats all.

ETS in 2011 would be better for us.
