I don't have any real advice for you, but I am sure buried in the WBC Trading T&C's they have this very scenario covered and they will not have any legal liability.
You do have a clear cut case of disadvantage, and taking it to their customer line and complaining hard but respectfully, you might get free brokerage for a year or at least a month.
