I suspect the world (and equities) will have bigger issues than the availability of chips (if/when) China decides it's invading Taiwan.

They already took over Hong Kong and the only people that put up something resembling a fight were the uni students.

I fully expect Taiwan will officially be back under Chinese rule at the very latest by the end of 2023.

If I was really skeptical I'd say there's actually a very good chance China makes a move on Taiwan at some point in the next month or two while the world is distracted with Ukraine.
