Putin has always been open to diplomatic solutions but when the West keeps on ignoring Russian concerns, diplomacy ends. I bet you would be the first person here to complain if Russian troops were stationed in Mexico. America wouldn't allow that for a second, yet here you are saying it's ok for NATO's military to be stationed in Ukraine. No one wants war especially Russia, they lost 27 million people during the WW2 fighting the Nazis.
