I'd rather get patch vaccines before my trips, I'm too familiar with getting needle vaccine and experiencing what is outlined below. Not to say patch would eliminate all, however I think slow release and not a quick injection straight into a vein would have an effect.

Tenderness
Pain
Redness
Hardening of skin
Swelling
