It doesn't seem to have occurred to the protagonists and down-rampers, who regularly visit this site, that the downstream processing facility about to be constructed at Kwinana is adaptable enough to handle graphite from many different sources (10 of which have been tested) and not dependent on feedstock from Epanko, although a consistent line of high quality product from Epanko would undoubtedly be an advantage. Forward supply agreements can be entered into.
Commencement of production in 2023, will place EGR at the leading edge of SPG sources outside of China, which is becoming geopolitically a risky source of supply for any western battery manufacturer. Globally, there is no shortage of graphite available to process, and many more deposits waiting for development around the world, as attested to by the number of hopeful greenfield mining projects represented - just on the ASX.
