This is one of the fastest contracts ever signed by the State of Cameroon on such a large-scale project. The investment granted for the realization of this flagship project amounts to nearly 5,500 billion CFA francs. No public funds are required for the development of these two gigantic projects exclusively backed by corporate investment efforts. The consortium brought together for this purpose is made up of some of the largest Chinese groups in the field of the construction of ore ports, railways, mines, steelworks and the marketing of iron.

“Initially scheduled for the end of 2021, the laying of the first stone of the project will certainly take place during this first half of 2022”; said in an exclusive interview granted to the Digital Agency of African Information, the Director of the communication of the project, Patrick Tchouwa
