I think Putin has miscalculated and the costs are going to be too high to continue. If he's truly insane he might escalate with more violence, cyber attacks and energy export restrictions. That would be suicidal. Otherwise he will rattle the nuclear weapons threat again and try to negotiate a face saving peace deal and hope for relief of sanctions as part of that.
