It is a fact Communism killed more than Fascism. Even Mao in his cultural revolution killed probably more than WW2. Polish victims died in Russian gulag is alleged more than Jews under Hitler.
This is why I don't look at these issues especially politics in such a zero sum game but shades of right or wrong. It is all about cost benefits. Zelensky is Jewish as you say and Israel is where the homeland became a reality so why are they diverging from US without which they will never be a state of Israel like what we have seen today. Saudi another US ally is also not supportive of the US sentiment, depend upon US military weaponry to keep their neighbour from Iranian influences.
I view the current conflict of what to expect in the future in another dispute closer to us. All I can see is that the Thucydides trap is betting "boosted" like the Covid joke. When it doesn't work, keep trying using the same method until it does?
