I suggest you visit Ukraine, and see for yourself how some people their behave and their attitude to the past.
They wont acknowledge it (unlike the Germans have)

No Ukrainians were convicted after WW2...

Even now, in the main square of Lviv, theres a bar where a guy in a kalisnikow stands at the door (its meant to be fro tourists),
and the password to get in is "Ukraine is great" . Sure its meant to be fun, but once you get inside have a look at the posters
on the wall, and it might change ones view.
