In my view, its the end of the Hamish & Hamish show. Without performance, a fund manager has absolutely nothing to offer. Sure, 100% confidence on your own abilities to see the world as no one else sees it helps when you are trying to get people to invest in your fund, but after that, it must perform and no amount of "its for the long term" will cut it. The "long term" never arrives, and then we are all dead. To top it off, the 100% confident guy evaporates for health reasons......the credits are rolling.
