caltex to push ahead with aquisitions, page-2

I dont get this guy samuels...so one company is selling its assets to another company , so mobile servos become caltex servos , caltex will still be a small player and mobile will
reduce its coverage , so servos will be rebadged . its not
gobbling up independants or hamstringing mobil etc...

I remember we had Galaxy pay tv in sth aust , the state
govt chipped in 10 million , packer wanted to buy in as
galaxy had the rights to the mgm film library , the accc
said no way as packer had 25% of foxtel....as a result galaxy went belly up and foxtel walked in and got the library for peanuts , the sa taxpayer paid for it...

I used to work for the weather bureau , the murdoch owned
advertiser used their media graphic staff to produce the
weather page , they fired their graphic dept and we were to
do it at cost for them , the accc stepped in and gave it to
a new zealand grahics company as they screamed we had an unfair advantage , the australian newspapers were up in arms at the prices they were charged , so our aust govt gave
the nz company some money to stop charging murdock and co
high prices , in the end the ozzie papers revolted against this company as it once again upped its prices and the quality was crap, guess what , the weather bureau was duck shoved the weather pages and we did them for free , the
aust taxpayer is paying for ozzie newspapers weather papers , we were originally going to do them for cost , not for free.what a joke

to me the accc is anti competitive
