potential capital gain issues Buy ANMNA @ 4.7c with last capital return (due end Nov) of 3.2c = effective buy of 1.5c for ANM. ie once the last capital return has taken place the ANMNA's will trade as a fully paid shares only as ANM
At the moment ANM is 3.1c...100%. worth a punt!!

Before jumping on ANMNA potential investors should check the capital gain tax issues associated with ANMNA converting to ANM.

The 3.2c ANMNA return in November is a capital return and is accounted for by reducing the purchase price of ANMNA for capital gains purposes.
The mandatory conversion to ANM shares could/may tricker a capital gains event at the time of the conversion. I am not sure if this is so, but since it is a new security it is likely to take place.
Check this before investing if cap. gain is an issue.
Anyone sitting on some capital losses could play this well if interested in ANM for the longer term.
I am not a tax accountant – do you own DD etc. Start by reading the red stuff below.

PS. I think the matter is dealt with in the ANMNA prospectus.
The company secretary should – with all disclaimers – also be able to answer this.
Anyone finding the answers please post here for the benefit of others.

    Long term holding in ANMNA
