Hi guys, I asked Peter about the logging in an email last Friday. This is the reply to that part of my questions. I'm sure he wouldn't mind me sharing this.
Our geological team always record the visual relative abundance of any mineralisation observed in core. This is a visual estimation of the % of the core that consists of mineralisation – e.g. Chalcopyrite. This is sometimes not easy to accurately estimate. However our team have a fairly good ‘eye’ on this. Also, the histogram down-hole representation of mineralisation is based on each metre of core, so you also need to take into consideration the amount of ‘gaps’ within a mineralised zone.
