Imo as a minimum RDT will be a necessity in places of high transmission and vulnerability. society simply can’t afford to rely on vaccination alone as the true longer term costs of infection will soon become apparent. early detection and isolation coupled with vaccines for those that need them most will be the most effective, practical and economical solution to provide optimum health outcomes as we have all demonstrated vaccines alone are not the answer.
