I assume you are only after a reaction but I can't resist.
I was told by a "friend" BHP was a $100 share almost 20 years ago after it briefly hit $50. I suppose after the extra shares received ( BSL, S32, not so much Onesteel and soon WPL) and the large dividends given out over that time I have received well over $100 worth of value in that time.
IMO if BHP gets to $100 it will not be quick gain and not a certainty.
Dump your friend and find a financial advisor.
