    Hi novis,

Hurst wave theory is totally different from Elliot waves, and refer to the price waves that can be summed up into cycles and enclosed within cylical bands.

I don't think there is anything very complicated or confusing in the following Hurst envelope chart as at today's close, showing the price movements within the curvilinear bands.

As you can see, for the entire year of 2009, VPG's price has been travelling within an inner envelope band and an outer envelope band, with most of the price action within the inner envelope band. Whenever price touches the bottom of the inner envelope band or exceed it slightly, prices will quickly rebound back up and thereupon move back to the upper bound of the inner envelope and pulls back. Once a while it exceeds the upper bound of the inner envelope to move right through to the outer bound of the outer envelope.

What you can see is that the statistics show the price of VPG has NEVER once fallen to the lower bound of the outer envelope ( marked as 0.09 cents ), while it has always rebound the moment it touches the lower bound of the inner envelope ( marked as 0.112 cents). In other words, on the basis of its cyclical price movement within the curvilinear bands, we can deduce that VPG has neared or is on support level at 0.115 or 0.11 thereabouts and while it has the possibility to fall to as low as 0.09, statistically it is low because it has never done so for one complete year for 2009.

In the same vein, we can see the targets to be at the upper bound ie 0.14 cents and then 0.16 cents as long as the curvilinear bands which has been operating over the entire one year period of 2009 goes. That does not mean Moondance's target of 0.27 cents cannot be reached, but certaintly it does not looks likely with the same curvilinear envelope in the near future- but perhaps well into the future VPG can soar, but since we are discussing this in the short term trading forum of HC, we shall limit ourselves to short term trading figures.

I hope you can see the difference between Hurst wave cylical analysis and Elliot wave analysis and even Gann analysis. I think Hurst is very clear and simple in comparison to Elliot waves or Neely wave.

May the best prices be yours
