That's not actually quite how it was.
On the day you speak of, there were two individuals (insiders no doubt) who DUMPED one after the on market. So it wasn't people buying. It was people who already had buy orders that were dumped in to, with many retailers left holding the bag of feci.
I do hope that those who have been trapped take this slight momentum as an opportunity to get out.
