Linc stated at the Galilee Basin energy conference the other day that:
"The Galilee sale may be deferred whilst further upside in resource is unlocked by exploration"
and
"Further exploration work is likely to increase size of
open cut resource and reduce strip and mine
development costs"
ie they believe more exploration will be able to get them more money for it.
I'm definitely not expecting news of the sale in the next two weeks. A further exploration program will push it back to mid-2010 at the earliest.
No sign of any sale in the next few weeks anyway. It's like you put PB in front of a microphone and he's the Boy Who Cried Wolf.
I'm starting to think that if Linc succeeds it will be in spite of Peter Bond's mouth, not because of it.
