I can't see DDD moving into production in the next 6 - 9 months. Possibly sometime in CY2023 but that depends entirely on how quickly (or how long) it takes management to obtain the regulatory approvals for an open pit operation & also secure the cash needed for the plant upgrade ($11M) plus additional working capital of ($3M). They'll be doing well if they find a cashed-up JV partner before the end of CY2022 to fund the plant upgrade, however, it seems unlikely that management would launch into an $11m plant upgrade without first having the necessary approvals for an open pit operation. Government approvals usually take longer than expected.

DDD might be better off changing their proposal to underground only & then secure adequate funding for extensive drilling campaigns to prove enough underground resources for a 5-year operation. If enough high-grade mineralisation is found, initiate & complete a bankable feasibility study, develop a suitable underground mine plan, then upgrade the plant through a JV.

The open pit proposal (close to the town & at the top of the hill) doesn't look like an ideal location from an approvals perspective : I'd be surprised if DDD receives the green light for open pit mining.

There's always the possibility of a totally unexpected massive gold discovery. Maybe DDD will get lucky someday. Only time will tell.
