It places an ever greater importance for car companies to make deals with miners. Tesla has locked up all it's Nickel with companies in safe jurisdictions.
nickel going to $50k means the price of nickel per a car may have gone up by $1500 which in the grand scheme of things isn't all that significant imo.
Even with battery metals going up in price through economies of scale the prices of EVs will still drop.
