Yes, agree we are on the same page re: RENT and absolutely, they have 1x Million users ready to be monetised, and so so many opportunities. Agree the Franchise's will be a big challenge for them... they have 2x directions.. either get in with them and show them value and retention for rental base and landlord base or become a direct competitor to them and drive them into the ground (from a rental perspective)... Unfortunately I'm not convinced they have the vision and drive to the the later (which is where the Big Big $$ are)... and take them on.. So getting in with them and providing added value and benefit (Renter and Landlord) is probably their best (and easiest) opportunity..
You're absolutely right.. Imagine a fully transparent portal from Renter to Landlord, everything, payments.. maintenance.. agreements.. changes.. reports for accountants. So so easy to do, and would give a sizeable point of difference and reason for Agents to join.. and they (agents) can further entice Landlords in with value add offerings..
Maybe its in flight.. hopefully so... it would be a significant disappointment if they're just kicking rocks down the road... such a massive opportunity in front of them and they have the building blocks, (fairly) cheap structure... and a million users to boot.
