Why don't you do an internet search, or talk to an IT professional in wireless networking before you call people "silly boy"?
It's more than a little condescending when you consider buying a $1,000 router would be a much better use of your coin than any investment in Dave McLauchlan.
Anyway, you have proven my point, so thank you. LIFX is marketed as a "plug and play", straight from your existing wifi router. But it doesn't work reliably because you will need to upgrade your network hardware if you want to run a smart-light system. When a product doesn't work the way you have been told it will, you won't buy anymore and you might even leave a negative product review online...https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/lifx-smart-led-bulbs
34 out 57 reviews give LIFX bulbs the lowest possible rating - and this is just the first site from my quick search.
