@nailsnglue, simply put, the grain price has little impact on graincorps bottom line. graincorp are logistics and a handling company, ok they do trade, but not the extent of cargill and glencore.
graincorp did exceptionally well when 90% aus wheat crop was downgraged to 'feed' (2013 by memory) and the price was very low. it was still a salebale commodity and needed to be moved.
the spike in graincorp price is as a result of the less well informed that make a direct comparison between grain price and graincorp core business.
Irrespective of world grain prices, graincorp will handle what is there to be handled.
