I'm hearing that brokerage firms of all asset classes looking at their exposures to those shorting any asset through their platforms.
This could mean higher margins and voluntary/forced closure of positions.
This happened during the GFC when brokers/banks got really worried about exposure to customers shorts.
Obviously a reaction to the LME Nickel situation.
