Hi Pastperformer.
Is this a possible trade where someone has sold 7.6mil + shares at $1.10 in the hope they will go lower or someone having to find a buyer and have to offer a discount to unload a large quantity in one hit. Possibly margin call induced,maybe we are seeing a bottom.
Even with all the turmoil GQG will still have average FUM for the quarter of $US 90bil and possibly higher or consistent for this HY. Even with a 27% tax rate would equate to approx US 9CPS annualised or AUD 12.5CPS. A risky exercise shorting at a $1.10.
