Well relatively recently I bought what I regard as a sml holding in NHC.That has grown into a nice sml holding.
The reason I bought into nfc is imo its a quality co with importantly what appears to be solid management.
Imo coal has decades of growth ,i'll include gas in the same category.
I will be interested where management or what sector management feels there are acquisition opportunities.
I like the restoration of the open coal mines so we burn the coal release the carbon emissions then recapture the emissions with the restoration, the mention of agriculture on reclaimed coal mines is nice especially compared to growing produce on a battery land fill.,(or as the renewables industry does, they store the batteries untill the pile grows large enough for it to self ignite reference victoria/nsw.And i love the smell of toxic battery fumes in the morning.
Which brings me to another reason why I have invested in NHC although I prefer gas but missed the boat with wpl..
Imo what is happening with the roll out of renewables infrastructure is a disgrace,it reminds me of james hardie rolling out their asbestos product before fully understanding the catastrophic results.
You watch rubbish adds showing beautiful photos of the sun, wind turbines and and dams and calling the dams batteries.(a little ironic when the pro renewables industry is anti dams).
The real story ,you will never hear the renewables industry mention is recycling the relatively short life span of renewables infrastructure, thats because currently we can not recycle any of the infrastructure or its uneconomic to recycle.
Wind turbine blades can only be used as land fill and the manufacturing industry suggest the carbon nano tube fibre required to produce the wind blade is the next asbestos and can only be decommissioned and cut using hazchem gear then dumped in land fill.
The govt would like to brain wash us and make us believe dams are the main batteries.Batteries are not dams there toxic lithium batteries that can not currently be recycled ,the 3% being the plastic can but not the toxic chemicals.as confirmed by the CSIRO.What to do with batteries when their past their use by date including all our worlds largest batteries ?This battery issue is described by the renewables industry as an 'emerging problem'.
I would decribe it as a obvious imminent toxic problem.
Yes there r some start up co's that believe they have the technology to recycle the toxic chemicals but not confirmed and if possible what will be the cost and is that cost taken into account in the cost of producing renewable electricity generation taking into account the short life span of batteries ie 5 to 15 years.
Same every other piece of renewables infrastructure whether the q&t steel required for the steel wind towers, solar panels, worst man made climate change gas produced to cool the wind turbine electronics which eventually escapes into the atmosphere and stays there ie can not be absorbed by trees ,all infrastructure can not yet be recycled or recycled economically.
There had to get that off my chest but imo it even makes coal look green..
imo common sense suggests continue with gas and our cleaner coal and imo only new technology nuclear before rolling out toxic renewable infrastructure before we understand whats involved in first rolling it out, decommissioning it then having a clean green economical way of recycling it.
Sry for rant but the govt advertisement calling a dam a battery really annoys me,be honest and show the insides of a real lithium battery instead.
ps amusingly recently the the renewables industry is targeting cement.?Does the renewables industry understand how much cement is required to support one wind turbine tower.
Natural coal or a toxic man made cocktail?hmm i'll take coal until we understand new technology developments better.
5 to 6 years then the above issue will hit the fan imo.
