I share your outrage at this (not that I am a Commsec user).
What you may want to ask Commsec is:
Does your company (Commonwealth Bank) have any commercial links with either of the bidders (being POSCO and Hancock) and , if so, are they aware that their preemptive and un-foreshadowed action may force " NO" voters such as yourself to sell thus advantaging the bidders, and that this would be a conflict of interest which would potentially breach federal competition law and cause the Bank to be investigated and potentially prosecuted by the ACCC?
Just a thought!
I cannot imagine that a bank as big as CommBank does not have commercial relationships with companies as big as POSCO and Hancock.
