As I am not a homeowner, I am not sure. Are major floods covered by homes insurance? Long time back heard from a friend that insurer did not cover flood damage as his house was in once in 100 years flood zone. I believe current flood affected area in QLD and NSW are frequent flood zones. Let's see what update we get.
