That was the cold war, with the Cuban missiles, totally different times, you're comparing apples and oranges. Russia and the US were facing off against each other, but the NATO alliance was seen as a necessary defence against Russia, not an aggressive alliance. NATO never invaded and occupied any country. And America never threatened nuclear war on Russia, you are changing history. And why shouldn't Ukraine be free to join NATO, they are a sovereign nation, free to make their own decisions. You guess a lot of things, but that is not fact. It's the way of the Left to change history to suit their narrative, have you noticed that? Maybe some reflection needed here.
