It seems there are quite a few of us who for one reason or another fails to grasp why CXY continues to lanquish with its very low market capitalisation. It bemuses us, it frustrates us and ultimately will undermine our confidence.

Yet the company has the finest practioners of UCG anywhere in the world. It has a first class project potential in Victoria, a large (if slightly scary) project in Pakistan through its UK sister company. I also have no doubt it WILL succeed in becoming Australias premier UCG company. So either, the others will wilt and fall into a heap OR CXY is in for one hell of a re-rating upwards.

On another mater, risk. It also seems that those ordinary folk who live around another infrastructure project are objecting. No one should be surprised at that. I recall a research study which was commissioned for a large infrastructure project I was working on in Queensland that discovered that 82 per cent of responetsn thought better public transport was required, but 87 per cent of those didn't want it built anywhere near them.

UCG projects will have the same profile. A large percentage will think that improved coal generation is highly desirable yet the majority will also want it as far away from them as possible.

CXY's job is to satisfy the environmental requirements, do so consistently and with spare capacity, and them drive the QLD government to uphold its end of the process and approve the generation project in all its facets.

I've little doubt they'll do this, but in the meantime we porr shareholders have to put up with being the poor cousin of the triangle of UCG companies. Shame!
