Van Eck is starting to adjust its holdings now the MVIS rebalance has been published. Between 11th of March and 14th of March it appears it has only traded in some of the Australian stocks it holds. The percentages quoted below just relate to the reduction in the number of shares in each company held by VE and not as a percentage change to their overall portfolio. So ASM holding has been reduced by 25,455 shares between 11th and 14th. VE certainly would have achieved a better price on the 14th than yesterday and it will be interesting to see what they have sold down yesterday.
The number of other Australian shares held in the VE portfolio has not yet changed. More changes to come before the 18th and it will be interesting to keep and eye on VE trading up to CSPA this Friday
