I'm pretty sure the scoping study stated most of the hydrogen is planned to be exported to South-East Asia. Which makes sense being located at the coast and being so close to those markets. Plenty of other WA hydrogen projects can fulfil domestic needs. Shipping won't be an issue, they just need to decide on the method of shipping. GEV is providing a very simple, low cost, zero emission solution which requires minimal infrastructure. Their solution is limited with distances, however South-East Asia will work perfectly for their method and there's always options to have other shipping solutions working alongside if they wish to export to further markets. However liquefying and ammonia are very energy intensive and require extra infrastructure costs and processing. But will be required if shipping to places like Europe with very large quantities.
