Sorry to say Adrian but I have been to Perth a number of times (but not recently)and I have found quite a few people there care very little about the scarcity of water. One person even told me (after I asked him why his garden was so luxuriously green) that The Government'had plenty in reserve', but he couldn't tell me where it was hidden.
Maybe I just mix with the wrong crowd!
But I also recollect some ten or more years ago whilst visiting those lovely caves down South remarking to the guide how the visitors no longer needed to walk on the separate walkway as the water had dissipated.
