The broker admits that the LNG race in Australia has become somewhat overcrowded, but suggests Santos' firt-mover advantage is a bonus. In the meantime, the broker has fiddled its numbers to account for royalty taxes and depreciation offsets and arrived at a 10% downgrade to 2009 forecast profit while marginally increasing 2010.
Target falls from $17.47 to $16.03.
