The differences between Elmo and IHR are significant. IHR focus on one specific area of HR tech and partner with best of breed partners to provide clients with a tier 1 solution across all aspects of HR (payroll for example).
This is precisely why they are able to achieve 92% International growth as per the current quarter. This also turbo charges their partner eco system with other global players providing them leads and vice versa.
Elmo attempt to be all things to all people trying to create modules across all aspects of HR. The issue with this is its very difficult to scale internationally and due to lack of product focus the product remains 2nd tier.
For example payroll is incredibly difficult to scale internationally with one system. Each country has different award interpretation and the entire process is extremely different country to country.
IMO the strategy behind IHR’s product focus and people first methodology makes us unique in HR app space. We shouldn’t underestimate the global potential we have going forward it’s significant.
