But heres a comparison of 2 stocks (CBA/JBH) some of my friends are always blabbing about as good stocks to trade with

Ive compared them to BLY.

Used 6 months and 1 month as a stake in the ground.

Any earlier than 6 months, too me is too far back and 1 month is pretty close post SPP.

BLY to me has more upside and as a trader still also has some volatility so Im happy to hold but also swing trade to increase my profits.

Now can ya complain really?
