Because Biden/Blinken rejected any negotiations or compromise on Russian security concerns. Biden -"We don't accept others red lines" .
Even today with cities being pounded and civilians dying and forced to flee, Biden/Blinken still refuse to negotiate and continue to pour weapons into Ukraine, pouring oil onto the fire. Why ? NATO provoked the war, they want to expand the war until the USSR is destroyed, no matter how many millions will die, no matter the risk of nuclear war.
