An interesting article, if you look at table 2, it shows just how CFCL 60% electrical efficiency is head and shoulders above the rest, and yes when overall efficiency is compared the gap appears to close, but this info is based on the Bluegen, which has been designed to be primarily a generator of electricity, that will deliver some hot water. Put the Bluegen’s heart (Gennex stack) into a high efficiency central heating boiler (as planned be their European and Japanese partners) and the resulting mCHP unit would again rise well above the competition.
What it also shows us is, if you want to have any kind of high efficiency mCHP product that’s at the fore front of current performance’s levels, but you are unable to manufacture your own fuel stack ( a reality for many due to complexity, cash required, development time, patents held by others etc)

Whose will/would you want to purchase??..........

Come early next year and CE/safety approval , followed by the first rollout of a major partners appliance, CFCL plan of being a serious mass producer of currently the highest efficiency fuel cell stack will make perfect sense, and a lot of people rich.
