The purchase of this land shows me another vote of confidence in the project by Stavely management.
As the announcement says "Adjacent to the Thursday’s Gossan prospect", I doubt it is a site of proposed mining, but a site that could be used for infrastructure supporting a mine. The price paid seems very reasonable when cropping land near by is between $9,000 and $10,000 an acre.
The big picture seems to be to do things that will make this project attractive and advanced to those that want to pursue a mine at Thursday Gossan after the JORC is completed. The miner could be Stavely or another company. The purchase of this land at a good price before the JORC seems sensible and strategic to me.
