I keep wondering what the strategy behind this 'after cash close' swing in the futures market is all about. I always assumed people must enter some spread position and as for today and this would explain the swing quite nicely. The part I don't understand is why do they wait until after the cash market has closed. It really bugs me as I just cannot understand what this is all about.
