I have been a CVN shareholder since the Thailand days when they trucked their oil from wells to refinery. I remember the share price going up to about 80 cents then plummeting long before the pull-back to Australia I also remember wandering around the CVN ground floor display on an open day in 2017 being escorted by the Managing Director ( I told him how few shares I had but he didn't mind). As we passed a large photo of the proposed Dorado drill, I said "So this is El Dorado? ( unwittingly adding an El). "I hope so" he said quietly. A year later his hopes were realised. I sold half the shares and my wife and I enjoyed an Emirates first class return trip to Europe and back to back cruises with Silversea and Evergreen. As to tomorrow, I am an optimist on the news front. Being in WA the announcement will come with the early morning coffee. I don't think it will be another Buffalo. I think the news will be good but the market response will be uncannily muted because it is no longer a true market. One has only to look at the course of sales column and the occasional substantial shareholder change notice to see that. I hope that I am wrong about the market reaction.
