I'm confident we've seen the bottom in MQG. Sucks to have not been able to pick up a parcel at $150 as I had hoped for, or even below the CR price (I opted to use undeployed funds to buy CBA and contribute to super) but oh well.
With inflation abound and prices for things going berserk, I think Macquarie's commodities/global markets teams are going to have a stellar time in capitalizing on deals as companies look to consolidate for pricing/supply chain power and on market moves.
I'm selling off my U.S. stocks as I am of a strong view that AUD strength will crimp gains from unhedged U.S. equities, and will redeploy some of these funds (¬30% of my portfolio) into MQG, CBA, STW and maybe DMP.
GLTAH - $250 is probably on the horizon.
