Great articles to read, although I'm not sure if it's related to Minyari/WACA results
There's actually a link to download that Bretton Woods 3 statement from Credit Suisse
The world has changed now. What good is US dollars to the biggest economy in the world China, if a lot of it's wealth is held in foreign reserves denominated in $US, when the US can just "cancel, freeze" it whenever it wants to, ala-Russia style. The US just prints as much money as it wants to, and pays for all it's oil and military, with paper money backed by nothing
The last paragraph sums it up, saying the new world money order will be backed by gold and commodities. And Australia is a global powerhouse when it comes to gold and commodities, so we'll be sweet whatever the outcome
From the Bretton Woods era backed by gold bullion, to Bretton Woods II backed by inside money (Treasuries with un-hedgeable confiscation risks), to Bretton Woods III backed by outside money (gold bullion and other commodities).
