With all that has been exposed about Tiger Woods lately, the words of a good psychologist ring true. When undergoing marriage counselling in an attempt to salvage my marriage in my mid twenties, he said two things that make sense to me.
"If there are too many restrictions and high expectations placed on a person, they will eventually rebel, because we are all human and no one is perfect".
Secondly "It takes two people for a marriage/relationship to break down - both parties need to take responsibility for that".
I dont stand in judgement of Tiger. I hope that he can repair the pain he has caused his wife, children and family.
No doubt he will also have to contend with his own guilt and feelings of failure too.
